after seeing this line on another website, i knew DGFU would make the perfect first enter/View for maleamorphosis. the acronym was hilarious, and the t-shirts are simple and casual. so i contacted jayce sadler, ceo and president, and he was gracious enough to answer a few questions about the line.

Q: what were the inspirations that caused DGFU Clothing to come into existence?
A: it started off as a joke. my friend used to say “DGFU” to me whenever i would make a smart comment or remark. i made him a tank that said DGFU in big black bold letters. he loved it, and so did the rest of FB. i was in my last year of college and it was a perfect time to start a small business, so i did! the rest is history…
Q: what type of maleamorphite do you see wearing DGFU clothing?
A: someone bold with a huge sense of humor. a lot of people think DGFU is mean, but it’s really meant to be funny! LOL.
Q: what made you pick the name, and were there ever any reservations about it?
A: see question #1. i was on the edge about the name, especially because it has the word FUCK in it and i didn’t want people to mistake the meaning behind it. then i realized that if you didn’t like it then you don’t have to wear it, kind of like gay marriage, LOL.
Q: what are the long-term goals for the clothing line? what additional pieces should we expect in the future?
A: i want a few DGFU stores around the country and one overseas. i’ve sold across the US and internationally here and there. because i started it on a fluke, it still baffles me that i’ve done events in hollywood and been featured on popular blogs. i’m still kind of shocked i’m doing this one now!
i want to keep the line casual, simple and a reflection of my own closet. plus it’s all about accessorizing nowadays. with that said, i also would love to do jewelry and accessories.
Q: what has the initial response been to your line?
A: my mom was a little disapproving at first, especially with my conservative upbringing, but she sees how hard i work and respects it. she just wants me happy. everyone else thinks it’s absolutely hilarious! some of my favorite moments have been people staring at my chest trying to figure out what my shirt means then their eyes lighting up in shock when i drop the f-bomb.
Q: summarize DGFU Clothing in ONE word.
A: provoking.
Q: if you had to pick one historical figure, past or present, who would you like to see in DGFU wear?
A: i’ve gotten shirts to Meagan Good, T.O., and a few others. i would have loved to see Anna Nicole Smith in a shirt. she was so carefree and fun, plus i think her boobs would have looked great in a plunging v-neck. i may send one to the white house too.
