play / paper denim & cloth

on my quest to find jeans that AREN’T covered in skulls, snakes, celtic crosses, roses, rhinestones, paint, holes and other questionable accent markings (or that other fuckery called “skinny”)……i found the best brand of jeans in a mid to high price point!

SIDEBARwhat in the hell is up with men’s jeans being more bedazzled than women’s anyway?!

Paper Denim & Cloth… founded in 1999, by Scott Morrison and owned by Dick Gilbert. i found it interesting they made the decision to drop their price point 50-60%, beginning in 2006, even when everyone else was raising the price of their denim.

i eventually bought five pairs of them. the MSRP is $98-110, but i got mine at a steal. i’ve been rocking mine with some vintage tee’s i grabbed at target. for sure this winter they will easily be paired with vest, button-downs, sweaters and blazers.

the jeans have just the right amount of distressing going on, just the slightest bit of fade…AND they come in real colors like dark grey, blue, black and the perfect shade of faded blue. the jeans are supple, no embellishments and they fit perfectly. thanks to the American, Italian and Japanese ring-spun denim, these jeans feel like they’ve been broken in already.

go grab a pair. they’re worth it, whatever price you happen to find them at!

purcell3

play / let’s converse about the jack purcell line

this line of jack purcell converse’s are genius.  they’re lightweight, versatile, work with any outfit…and most can be purchased for $60.00.

they come in every possible make up and style.  there isn’t much to say, but a helluva lot to look at! check ‘em out.  they are definitely made for play but pair them with the right slacks and you could rock them at work….

extra credit:  these may not be purcell’s but i would rock the hell outta these right here!
